On
June 18, 2007 I was induced to have my second child. Since my first one
was 13 weeks premature, we decided to induce the second one since he was 38
weeks and I was already dilating. All was going well until at 5
centimeters my water was ruptured. The water
gushed out. However, along with it came a stream of never-ending blood. An
emergency c-section was performed and at 1:31 am my son was born. THANK GOD he
survived and was in the NICU for just a week. He is strong and healthy. The
doctor later gave me the diagnosis of vasa previa and since then, I have been
educating myself and others. |
